The server requirements for Conexxus mirror those for SQL 2005. The server can also be run as a client and it is recommended that the client install for Conexxus be run on the server.

Conexxus offers easy acquisition of data – import, scan in, or print to Conexxus from source application. Data can be brought in one item at a time or as batches. Data can be of most any origination be it PDF, Word, Excel or other. Once in the system, data is arranged according to structure created specifically for the client and can be accessible in native format when/if needed. This unique organization structure allows for easy searches and a sense of familiarity leading to quick system adoption.

Once in the system, data/evidence is readily available for movement throughout the business or “workflow”. Workflows, many times with designated rules, such as electronic review and sign-off, are applied to processes and controls and auto-monitored for accuracy and compliance. All of the above are also tracked in the audit component and can be randomly sampled during audit scenarios.

Document management is only half of the core of the system. With the founder having a CPA background, the system is more about accounting/finance/compliance and how a document management and workflow system can assist with such functions.

Sense much documentation is sensitive; system security is of utmost importance. Users are provided with a username and password that must be used to entered the system. Security goes beyond simple system access, with rights given within the system for specific areas or system functions. In addition, audit trails exist per user, document, and system. The system administrator will know who was in the system, what they saw and when they saw it along with the knowledge if any unauthorized users attempted to access the system.
